Cigars for Women – Are They Still For the Chosen Few

There came a time, around the early 80s, when Cigars for Women actually were just intended for print and television. Print in the sense that models have this certain kind of personality that stereotyped them as the brat pack – the likes of Campbell, Turlington and Evangelista. Aside from them, you would see this kind of smoking done among the elite and snobby group like actresses like Demi Moore and the ravishing Sharon Stone. Not everyone was entitled to smoke a cigar since for starters, it was expensive and next it was connoted as a man’s thing.

This thought made their followers or fans believe that if these cigars for women were smoked by celebrities they have adored, so can they! The thing is smoking one just do not begin and end with a simple lighter like when you consider smoking a cigarette. Cigar smoking does have its own tools and accessories like a cigar cutter, even a cigar tube for individual storage.

Aside from who could cigar their way, there is a rather feministic approach when it comes to women who smoke a cigar. As if they want to show the men who the “real men” were since it speaks of power. This led some men to either dismiss the fact that women have a mightier hand over them or they just simply want to be noticed. You know how leveling with the opposite sex does to their egos.

Then after a few years, the thought of women smoking has become a normal occurrence. It actually did not hurt their egos per se but cigar smoking for women was accepted by men themselves. Nothing could stop these women who see the world in a different light after all.

There are lounges that cater now on cigars for women smokers as well as men smokers. It all boils down on how they smoke it and for what reason – business or pleasure. Well, a lot do both and society has accepted the fact that this kind of smoking is not anymore for the chosen few but for those who can afford it.
